The object of the course is to help students improve their abilities in drawing. The course will consist of demonstrations, discussion and practical exercises.
The course includes:

Drawing materials and techniques – making marks with pencil, charcoal and pen & ink

Working in black and white – composition, contrast, negative shapes, value, shading and texture

Perspective of simple objects – still life drawing

Drawing buildings and vehicles – the cone of vision

Drawing the human figure for people in pictures
