A line dance class which started at beginner level in November, 2011. The music will be primarily Country rather than Pop and initially, at least, old favourites will be taught. However the preferences of the class will be taken into account, both regarding the level of the dancing and the type of music. Your leader, Ron, has 15 years experience of teaching line dancing and likes his classes to be fun. You will never be told off for not remembering the steps!
The class will recommence on 15th February 2012.

Square Dancing
Waterloo Social Club, Plantation Road, Waterloo, Poole
Fridays:
9:30am to 11:30am Beginners/Mainstream
10:30am to 12:30pm Mainstream/Plus
Fun and Friendship set to Music, giving exercise to mind and body as well as the enjoyment of laughter. Square Dancing is a particularly social form of dancing. It is the compilation of movements of 8 people dancing together in patterns from an initial square, choreographed by a Square Dance Caller.
Basic/Mainstream/Plus
The Basic Programme is aimed at beginners and those with no previous knowledge, wishing to learn the Fundamentals of Square Dancing.
The Mainstream programme is for dancers who have learnt their Basic Programme and want to further develop their skills.
Basic and Mainstream Programmes are usually learnt during the first year.
Plus is the most popular level in the Square Dancing World. It is the next level up from Mainstream and consists of more complex sequences. Only those fully conversant with the Basic/Mainstream Programmes are invited to learn Plus.
All sessions overlap with each other.
Experienced Dancers are always very welcome to come along and assist as “Angels” at all levels danced.
